Heroes Sought

Pinchgut aims to be financed primarily by box-office, sponsorship and donations. Our productions so far have been underwritten by a group of music lovers who have agreed to help us get established. In 2010 we received a grant of $15,000 from the Arts NSW and $40,000 from The Australia Council for the Arts.

But after box office our biggest source of money has been donations from supporters: in 2009 donations totalled over $100,000. We are very proud of that. These are people who believe in what we are doing and want us to be able to continue.

Can you help?

We call our financial supporters "Heroes of Pinchgut". Are you able to join them?

Donations are tax deductible and will be acknowledged in programmes and our other publications. Under the rules for tax deductibility, we cannot promise any other benefits, though we want to make all our Heroes part of the Pinchgut family, so we will find ways of thanking you.

Receipts for tax purposes will be issued.

Pinchgut Opera Limited has a Public Fund on the Register of Cultural Organisations kept under the Income Tax Assessment Act (Australia). Accordingly, donations over AU$2 are tax deductible.
