Current and future engagements of Owen Willetts include TRINCULO The Tempest Teatro alla Scala di Milano, HAMOR Jeptha Landestheater Vorarlberg, CASTLE CROW in John Abrahamsen’s The Snow Queen Bayerische Staatsoper München and the Councertgebouw Amsterdam, and Fernando, Re di Castiglia (title role) Händel Festpiele Halle.

Important past engagements include Orlando (title role) Halle Händelfestspiele and Staatstheater Darmstadt, HELICON Caligula and OBERON A Midsummer Night’s dream Staatsoper Hannover, OTTONE L’Incoronazione di Poppea Pinchgut Opera, Theater Aachen, TOLOMEO Giulio Cesare Theater Bonn, TULLIO Arminio Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Theater an der Wien and Händel Festspiele Göttingen, and Handel’s Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno Opernhaus Halle, NARCISO Agrippina Oldenburgisches Staatstheater, Göttingen and Brisbane Baroque Handel’s Giulio Cesare (title) Finnish National Opera, and ORFEO Orfeo ed Euridice and ARSACE in Handel’s Partenope Boston Baroque.

He sang FARINELLI Farinelli and the King Duke of York Theatre, Westend and was a guest of Birmingham Opera Company (Graham Vick), Theater Heilbronn, Buxton Festival, Nationale Reisopera, Opera Queensland and Virginia Opera,

In concerts, Owen has performed with Les Musicians de Louvre, Telemann Chamber Orchestra, Vancouver Early Music Festival, Ulster Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Coro e Orquestra Gulbenkian, Dunedin Consort, Portland Baroque Orchestra and Lautten Compagney Berlin. He has worked with Laurence Cummings, Christian Curnyn, Emmanuelle Haim, Marc Minkowsi, Martin Pearlman, Howard Arman and Raphael Pichon.

Owen was a choral scholar at Lichfield Cathedral and studied at the Royal Academy of Music, with Noelle Barker, Iain Leadingham and David Lowe.
