Idomeneo Production Team

Lindy HumeLindy will direct Idomeneo. Lindy is currently Artistic Director of the Perth International Arts Festival. She has been Artistic Director of West Australian Opera, Victorian State Opera and Oz Opera. She has directed productions for Opera Australia (including Richard Mills-Batavia which will come to Sydney this year), Opera Halle in Germany, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin and Houston Grand Opera. |

Dan PotraDan Potra will be the scenic designer for Idomeneo. Dan has worked with Lindy Hume on many productions including Carmen, Batavia and Barber of Seville. As well as all of the Australian opera companies, Dan has worked with Houston Grand Opera, Mariinsky Opera of St Petersburg, Theatre St Gallen Switzerland and Museiktheatre Belgium. In theatre he has designed for Bell Shakespeare Company, Australian Theatre for Young People, Sydney Theatre Company and Company B. He also designed this year's new Opera Australia production of The Magic Flute and elements of the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics and the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. |

Hamish PetersHamish Peters will design the costumes. A NIDA graduate, Hamish has worked with us since Semele where he also worked on costumes. He was designer in Justin Way's production of Dardanus for us last year. His portfolio includes film television and theatre work as well as regular costume work with Opera Australia. |

Bernie Tan Hayes
Lighting Designer
Bernie originally hails from Adelaide and is a NIDA graduate. He has lit all four of Pinchgut's productions. In other opera he has worked with Nick Schlieper on the 2004 Ring cycle and Parsifal for State Opera of South Australia. His theatre work includes Ensemble Theater, Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company and Company B. |
