Dorée began horn studies at Perth Modern School in 1990 under the instruction of Paul Duhig. From 1995-1998 she attended the University of Western Australia School of Music, studying under Ms Heidi Kepper, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music performance degree. Between 1998-2000, she was selected to attend performance programs at the Australian National Academy of Music, and during this time undertook performance, recording and touring engagements (national and international) with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, West Australian Youth Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. 

 In 2003, Dorée began studies at the Hochschule Musik und Theater in Zurich with Prof. David W. Johnson, and graduated with an Orchester Diplom (with highest distinction). She performed with the Zurich Camerata Chamber Orchestra, Zurich Opera Orchestra, American Horn Quartet and toured internationally with the Symphonisches Orchester Zurich. In 2005, Dorée was awarded the Hegar Musik Prize for excellence in performance. 

Since returning to Australia in 2006, Dorée’s orchestral engagements have included the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Juniper Chamber Orchestra, Australian Classical Era Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Gombert, Orchestra of the Antipodes, Ludovico’s Band, Australian Haydn Ensemble, Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. Additionally, Dorée has performed at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Perth International Arts Festival, Adelaide Festival, Woodend Winter Arts Festival, Hobart Baroque, Brisbane Baroque and the Canberra International Music Festival, to name a few.

Dorée has played in three Pinchgut productions so far.
