Soprano

Lauren Zolezzi is a graduate of the Guildhall Opera Course, the Royal Academy of Music (Master of Arts - Performance), the University of Sydney (Bachelor of Arts - Languages) and recently completed a Fellowship in Movement Direction at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the guidance of Victoria Newlyn.

She is a recipient of the Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Vocal Scholarship and has performed as a soloist in venues such as the Sydney Opera House, the Wigmore Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, St. Martins-in-the-Field, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and The Barbican Concert Hall. She has also featured on In Tune for BBC Radio 3, Fine Music 102.5 and FBI 94.5 in Sydney.

Lauren’s past operatic roles have included Sophie Werther, Yniold Pelléas et Mélisande (ETO), Adele Die Fledermaus (Opera Danube), cover of Ilia Idomeneo (Garsington Opera), the title role in Francesca di Foix, the Parrot/Cricket The Adventures of Pinocchio, Barbarina (cover Susanna) Le Nozze di Figaro, Salome San Giovanni Battista, Fanny The Cooper (GSMD) and La Princesse and La Chauve-Souris L’Enfant et les sortilèges at the Barbican (LSSO). In 2017, she will return to English Touring Opera as the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience.

Lauren will perform the roles of L’Amour (Anacréon) and L’Amour (Pigmalion) in our 2017 Rameau triple bill.
