Choreographer

Shannon grew up in the central Queensland town of Gladstone and began training in both
dance and gymnastics at an extremely young age. At 15 she moved away from home to
pursue a career on stage, studying ballet full-time at QDSE and then continuing her training
at ED5 International. Shannon is fascinated by the body and its endless capabilities and has
also obtained a diploma in professional pilates instruction through PITC.

Shannon has been assistant choreographer to leaders in the industry including Kelley Abbey
and Newground Collective. After assisting on Opera Australia’s 2019 production of SALOME
she went on to choreograph for Opera Australia’s NEW YEARS EVE GALA and OPERA FOR
THE PEOPLE. She has worked creatively on numerous large-scale events including THE
NETBALL WORLD CUP OPENING CEREMONY and the T20 CRICKET WORLD CUP
OPENING CEREMONY. Shannon has choreographed work for Grayboy the agency,
Kermond Creative, Lovegrove Entertainment, David Jones, iCloud and more. Most recently
she was choreographer for Handa Opera’s LA TRAVIATA on Sydney Harbour 2020 and
Pinchgut Opera’s film A DELICATE FIRE.

A versatile and sought-after performer. Stage credits include the Australian tours of FAME
THE MUSICAL and GREASE THE MUSICAL, LE GRANDE CIRQUE, and multiple Opera
Australia Productions including Handa Opera’s LA TRAVIATA and CARMEN on Sydney
Harbour. She has worked extensively on TV with regular appearances on THE X FACTOR,
THE VOICE, AUSTRALIAN IDOL, and more while having the opportunity to work with many
Australian and International music artists including Ricky Martin, Jess Mauboy. Ricki Lee,
Red Foo, Sneaky Sound System, Nathaniel, and Hilary Duff. She has performed in
numerous large-scale events such as THE GLASGOW COMMONWEALTH GAMES
CLOSING CEREMONY, held international contracts, appeared in feature films, TVC’s, Music
Videos and more.
