Ongoing Auditions for Singers
Pinchgut Opera is changing the way we audition.
In-person auditions will be by invitation only.
You are very welcome to send in materials which will be considered at any time.
If you would like to be considered please send the following to auditions@pinchgutopera.com.au
- A recent headshot
- A current CV
- Links to 2 (two) contrasting video recordings of the auditionee singing music from the seventeenth or eighteenth centuries. Ideally one recording will demonstrate beauty of tone and legato, and the other will demonstrate agility, virtuosity, or other dramatic qualities.
Your aria / song choices need to be repertoire that is suitable for Pinchgut Opera and at least one of the above needs to be in a language other than English.
There will be no feedback or correspondence after your application.

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN Fulbright Scholarship in the Operatic Arts - closes July 1, 2026
Applications are now open for the new Fulbright Scholarship in the Operatic Arts. Supported by the Australian Opera Awards Committee, this scholarship provides an Australian operatic artist with the opportunity to undertake a four-month residency in the United States.
The award includes a living stipend and international travel allowance, and is designed to support professional development, international collaboration, and cultural exchange within the operatic arts sector.
