Arvin Arcilla is a Sydney based actor and musician. He completed his studies at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2022, obtaining a Diploma in stage and screen performance. During his time there, he worked with the likes of Phillip Quast, Les Chantery, Garth Holcombe and Orion Lee amongst many others to develop his skills. He took part in plays during NIDA's October 2022 production season, alongside numerous other shows and performances throughout his time there.
Since his time at NIDA, Arvin has worked with multiple actors and directors to further hone his craft in both a professional and classroom setting. His musical ability focuses on guitar, in which Arvin was trained, in addition to a singing/vocal ability both of which enabled him to perform at multiple venues throughout Sydney, such as the Sydney Opera House.
Arvin has been in shows with Pinchgut Opera, performing in Charpentier's Médée at the end of 2022 and later Handel's Rinaldo in 2023. He also has credits as leads in Australian short films working with rising companies such as Splice Productions, and has also participated in studies/productions with community theatre companies.
Arvin is also in the process of creating his own works for film. He was inspired by film, theatre and opera at an early age which compelled him to become a performer and since then, his commitment and passion for it has held strong.
