Caroline Hopson is a freelance violinist based in Sydney, and performs regularly with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Pinchgut Opera, Opera Australia Orchestra, Australian Haydn Ensemble and Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Caroline has participated in the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy, Royal Northern College of Music International Chamber Music Festival, Huntingdon Estate, Sanguine Estate, Hepburn Springs, Craven Creek, Mackay, Bangalow, Brisbane Baroque, Coramba and 4MBS Sibelius Music Festivals. During her time at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), Caroline shared the stage and coached with musicians such as Anthony Marwood, Aleksandar Madžar, Johannes Moser, Trio Dali and the Brodsky Quartet.
Caroline studied with Levon Chilingirian as a scholarship student at the Royal Northern College of Music, during which she performed regularly with the Manchester Camerata. She then attained her Master of Philosophy at the University of Queensland under the tutelage of Adam Chalabi, with whom she also studied at ANAM.
