David Rabinovici

David is a distinguished Australian violinist and violist based in France, acclaimed for his vibrant international career spanning the world’s leading stages and festivals. Recognised for his dedication to historical performance practice, David performs regularly with Europe’s foremost period ensembles, including Marguerite Louise, B'Rock Orchestra, Le Cercle de l'Harmonie, and L'Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal.

In his native Australia, David maintains close artistic relationships with premier ensembles such as Bach Akademie Australia, Australian Haydn Ensemble, The Muffat Collective, Genesis Baroque, Ensemble 642, and Pinchgut Opera. A devoted chamber musician, he also appears regularly with The Beggar's Ensemble and La Guilde des Mercenaires.

David’s artistic journey began with improvisation studies at the Victorian College of the Arts, igniting a profound passion for early music. He went on to further his training at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

When not performing, David enjoys cycling through the picturesque Loire Valley and spending time with friends over a barbecue.
