Izabelle Zammit is an emerging soprano who is currently in her fourth undergraduate year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying under Dr David Greco and Dr Anke Hoeppner-Ryan.
The 21 year old is the current recipient of the Taryn Fiebig Scholarship with Pinchgut Opera for season 2026/2027. Izabelle will appear as a finalist in the Joan Sutherland Richard Bonynge Foundation’s Sydney International Song Prize alongside pianist Julia An, will also appear as a finalist in the Dermany Dreikurs Scholarship Song Competition and has appeared as a finalist in the Shoalhaven Open Age Operatic Scholarship. In 2026, she also appeared in headlining performances aboard international cruise lines including Silversea, through the UK-based Little Opera Company. Other 2026 performances include Susanna in Auralis Music’s upcoming production of Le Nozze di Figaro In Concert, and performing alongside Julia An for the Women’s Club Sydney’s 2026 Concert Series.
In 2025, she made her operatic debut in the role of Parrwang in Parrwang Lifts the Sky, composed and directed by Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO, in a collaboration with Short Black Opera company and the Sydney Conservatorium. She continued her work with Mrs Cheetham Fraillon, singing as a soloist in another performance of her works at the Seymour Centre in the Woven Song’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. Soloist roles include Haydn’s The Creation with the SCM Orchestra and Choir under Dr. Elizabeth Scott, soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria, with the Central Coast Philharmonic Choir Society, Mozart’s Missa in C and a a Kirchweih Concert with the Croydon St Christophorus Church Choir and Chamber Orchestra.
She has participated in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed artists and professors including sopranista Samuel Mariño with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Prof Damien Girs of the Conservatoire Royal de Liège and German soprano Tanya Aspelmeier and pianist Lisa Herger (Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien) through the Erasmus+ initiative.
Committed to community engagement, Izabelle often performs in external concerts such as for sponsors of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, in the Croydon Crescendo series.
