Timothy Reynolds is highly sought after as a soloist and ensemble singer across Australia, and praised for his vocal clarity and expressive musicality spanning oratorio, opera, and chamber music.
Timothy is widely recognised for his exceptional interpretations of Bach and early music - including as the Evangelist in the Johannes Passion - having appeared as a soloist with Australia’s foremost early music ensembles, including the Bach Akademie Australia, Pinchgut Opera, Ludovico’s Band, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, La Compañia, the Canberra Bach Ensemble, and acclaimed international groups The Orchestra of the Age of Englightenment (London) and Gesualdo Consort Amsterdam.
On the concert hall stage, Timothy has appeared with Australia’s major orchestras, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. On the opera stage he has performed principal roles with Victorian Opera, Pinchgut Opera, Opera Australia, Oper Stuttgart, Hampstead Garden Opera, and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
A passionate and versatile ensemble singer, Timothy regularly performs with a wide variety of groups across Australia. He joined The Song Company as principal tenor in 2023, and is a founding member of ensembles The Consort of Melbourne and Melbourne Octet, and has performed with other leading groups including e21 and Luminescence Chamber Singers.
Notable performances in 2026 saw Timothy appear as the Evangelist in the Johannes Passion with the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs at the Opera House, and with the Australian Boys Choir in Melbourne. Later this year he will appear with the Bach Akademie Australia in multiple programs and with the ACO with Pinchgut Opera for Bach’s Weihnachts Oratorium.
