In a special milestone for Pinchgut Opera, we presented our first collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra as part of their ACO Up Close series in a stunning program of Baroque masterpieces, featuring Erin Helyard and star soprano Samantha Clarke.
Fresh from her acclaimed performance as Cleopatra in Julius Caesar in 2024 Samantha made her debut at ACO’s The Neilson for an intimate recital of Handel and Vivaldi arias that showcased her extraordinary artistry.
The vibrancy and virtuosity of Vivaldi and Handel’s instrumental music was also on show when a quartet of ACO musicians, directed by Erin Helyard, performed a specially curated selection of bright and inventive concerti and sonatas.
