Anthony is from the Sydney region, beginning his studies at the University of Sydney
and went on to graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts and the University of
Melbourne with a Bachelor of Music Honours, under the tuition of Stephen Grant.
Anthony made his opera debut as a Developing Artist with Victorian Opera in 2009
performing roles such as Masetto (Don Giovanni) under the direction of Richard Gill.
He subsequently performed roles for the company such as Curio (Giulio Cesare),
Truffaldino/Lackai (Ariadne auf Naxos).
Anthony has been an active member of religious vocal ensembles including St
Patrick’s Cathedral Choir Melbourne and as a Lay Clerk for St Mary’s Cathedral
Choir Sydney.
For Opera Australia he has performed with the Schools Company (VIC) as Sarastro
(The Magic Flute) and Masetto/Commendatore (Don Giovanni) for OzOpera.
Since 2013 Anthony has performed many roles for Opera Australia as a proud full-
time member of the Opera Australia Chorus. He has performed roles such as Zuniga
(Carmen), Ceprano (Rigoletto), Quinault (Adriana Lecouvrer), Marquis D’Obigny (La
Traviata), Gaoler (Tosca).
He has also made appearances with companies such as Red Line Productions as
Mother/Ensemble in Kurt Weill’s Seven Deadly Sins and in Delectable Shelter for the
Hayloft Project.
In his spare time Anthony likes to read books, is an avid gardener and a modest hiker.
