Simone Romaniuk is a live performance designer who works extensively across theatre, opera, festivals and immersive events in Australia and the UK.

Simone was Resident Designer with Queensland Theatre Company in 2012, and prior to this was an Affiliate Artist with the company. She holds a Bachelor of Design (Dramatic Art) from the National Institute of Dramatic Art and a Bachelor of Design Studies (Three Dimensional Design) from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.
Awards include two Gold Matilda Awards for Body of Work (2012 and 2014) and two Matilda Awards for Best Design (Macbeth and Kelly). Nominations include Manchester Theatre Awards for Design (La Vie Parisienne), and APDG Awards for Event Design (OzAsia Festival 2016 and 2017).
Simone is currently Creative Director of OzAsia Festival, Adelaide Festival Centre’s annual international arts festival and winner of Major Festivals and Events at the South Australian Tourism Awards 2019.
