Pinchgut Opera is delighted to bring Vivica Genaux to Melbourne in this extraordinary Melbourne-only concert event.
Friday 7 December 2018, 7pm
Melbourne Recital Centre
One of the world’s great mezzo-sopranos, Vivica Genaux, joins an ensemble of Australia’s finest early music musicians, led by Erin Helyard for a jaw-dropping evening of Handel, Hasse, Vivaldi and other baroque contemporaries.
This concert promises to be the very best of baroque splendour with stunning melodic lines interspersed with Vivica’s most famous vocal pyrotechnics.
Vivica Genaux is a four-time Grammy-nominated artist who has appeared with some of the world’s most famous early music ensembles, including Europa Galante, Le Concert Spirituel, Les Talens Lyriques and Akademie für Alte Musik. Pinchgut Opera is honoured to bring this phenomenal talent to Melbourne in the brilliant acoustic of the Melbourne Recital Centre for one night only.
